The Bus Stops Here Foundation is committed to enriching the lives of underserved youth. Inspired by founder Jerome Bettis’ passion for mentorship and personal development, we’ve launched Ready Fore Work — a mentorship program designed to prepare middle and high school students for success both on and off the golf course.
In partnership with First Tee – Pittsburgh, Ready Fore Work provides after-school golf instruction as a foundation for building essential life skills such as confidence, responsibility, and teamwork. Throughout the school year, students receive guidance from mentors and experienced coaches in a supportive environment.
In addition to skill-building through golf, high school participants explore professional development opportunities — including the chance to work as caddies during the summer at The Bob O’Connor Golf Course in Schenley Park.
By combining mentorship with meaningful experiences, Ready Fore Work helps Pittsburgh’s youth grow into confident, capable leaders ready to take on life’s challenges.
